  • Snow Skiing — Located at the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort and Amusement Park, this is the only ski area in Tennessee, with eight ski trails and three chair lifts.
  • River Rafting — The Smokies continues to set the standard in river rafting in the East Tennessee area. Certified guides escort you down the Upper and Lower Pigeon River. Enjoy floating down the river or challenge yourself to white water rafting!
  • Golf — Indulge in the favorite pastime of beautiful golf courses in the Gatlinburg area. Challenging layouts and beautiful emerald green fairways to woodland landscapes will greet you at every turn. Enjoy the picturesque setting of golfing in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains.
  • Hiking — The Great Smoky Mountains National Park offers over 150 trails to choose from and 800 total mils of hiking adventures. Trails range from easy to difficult and vary from a half-mile roundtrip to up to 13 mile routes. Additionally many trails are wheelchair-accessible.
  • Fishing — There are over 2,000 miles of streams within the Smoky Mountains National Park, which house one of the last wild trout habitats in the eastern U.S. Anglers will find a wide variety of fishing opportunities, from remote trout streams to large smallmouth bass streams. Most streams offer great year-round fishing. Just remember to get your fishing license from either Tennessee or North Carolina first!
  • Ripley’s Aquarium — A moving walkway carries you through a clear tunnel, so you feel as if you are right among the sharks and other sea creatures. A new exhibit has also been recently added which talks about the Pirates of the Seas!
  • Theatres — A few music and family-oriented theaters make their homes in Gatlinburg as well, including the Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre, which hosts a musical comedy.
